On Friday, July 5, 2024, it was revealed that no bids were submitted for the Noida Authority parking tender. As a result, parking will remain free at about a dozen locations until a new system is established. The Authority had issued tenders for three clusters last month, intending to start collecting parking fees from August 2024.

The Noida Authority parking tender was issued for the following clusters:

  • Cluster Number-4: Sector-81, Phase Two, Sector-83, 88
  • Cluster Number-7: Hosiery Complex

Despite the last day for applications being Tuesday, July 2, 2024, no agency submitted a bid for any cluster when tenders were opened on Friday, July 5.

Tender Process: The tender process aimed to implement a new parking fee system to address existing issues with parking fee collection. Currently, three parking operators owe approximately Rs 20 crore in dues to the Authority as of November 2023.
