Water Level Decline
At 10 pm, the Yamuna was at 205.91 meters at the Old Railway Bridge. This is down from its peak of 207.48 meters earlier this week. The Central Water Commission says the level will keep going down. Impact on City
The flooding affected about 18,000 people in East, Northeast, Southeast, North and Shahdara areas. Many roads near the river were closed. People had to walk through deep water to reach safe places. The government set up over 45 camps to help people. These camps give food, water, and other basic needs. Rescue teams are working to move people to safety.
