A 14-year-old boy drowned in floodwater near Shastri Park in northeast Delhi on Friday. The incident happened while he was playing with his friends, marking the second drowning case in the area this week.

A 14-year-old boy drowned in floodwater near Shastri Park in northeast Delhi on Friday. The incident happened while he was playing with his friends, marking the second drowning case in the area this week.

Boy Slips While Fishing with Friends

The boy went out to play with his friends on Friday evening. They were fishing when he slipped and fell into the water. The strong current carried him away. NDRF teams started looking for him right away. They found the boy within hours. He was taken to JPC Hospital. But the doctors said he was already dead when he arrived.

Another Drowning Case in the Area

This is not the only drowning case in northeast Delhi this week. On the same day, a 45-year-old man also drowned. He went into the floodwater to save his cows in Garhi Mendu village. The friends told us that the deceased was trying to walk near the bank when the incident took place.
