SSC CGL Exam 2025 Dates Released: Tier 1 Test to Begin September 12

Staff Selection Commission has announced the exam dates for SSC CGL 2025 on Thursday. The Combined Graduate Level Exam 2025 schedule is now available on the official website ssc.gov.in for all registered candidates.
Exam Schedule and Format
The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2025 will start on September 12, 2025 and continue till September 26, 2025. The exam will be held on 15 days from September 12 to 26.
All tests will be conducted through computer-based mode. Students will take the exam on computers at different centers across the country.
Exam Pattern Details
The Tier 1 exam will have multiple choice questions only. Students need to select the right answer from given options.
The exam covers four main subjects:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Comprehension
All questions will be available in both Hindi and English languages. However, English Comprehension section will only be in English.
Vacancy Information
This recruitment drive aims to fill 14,582 vacant posts in Group B and Group C positions. These jobs are in different government departments, ministries, and constitutional bodies across India.
The vacancy breakdown by category is:
- 6,183 posts for General category
- 2,167 posts for SC category
- 1,088 posts for ST category
- 3,721 posts for OBC category
- 1,423 posts for EWS category
Registration Status
