Mahinder Singh, a sattu ghol seller, has returned to his usual spot in Delhi after a month-long break. He was seen this afternoon at his regular place near Turkman Gate, selling his cold drink from a metal bucket.

Vendor explains his absence

Mahinder Singh said he went back to his village because of heavy rain in Delhi. He does not sell much during rainy days. The old man, always in white kurta pajama, came back just yesterday. His stall is simple – a bucket with sattu ghol, which is roasted gram flour mixed with water and sugar. Mahinder Singh said he went back to his village because of heavy rain in Delhi. Long-time street vendor

Mahinder Singh has been selling sattu ghol at this spot for 45 years. He gets ice from a nearby supplier to keep his drink cold. Each evening, he packs up and goes to his room in Shastri Park. Many such vendors in Delhi set up their stalls daily on roadsides. They work in tough weather and pollution for many years.

Mahinder Singh will return to his village in UP after September and come back next year after Holi. Follow The Rising News for more verified updates.
