Details of the Incident
The crash happened around 12:30 am when police signaled a speeding white Maruti Swift to stop. The car first turned away but came back 20 minutes later. The driver then sped up and hit the iron barricade. The barricade got stuck under the car and was dragged. Police and people nearby had to jump away to save themselves. The car's tire burst, making a loud noise. Some people pulled out the men in the car and hit them before police came.
Police Action and Another Incident
Police caught two men from the car. They were drunk. The men are Deepak Lamba and Rahul Hooda, both 24–25 years old. They run a business that gives electric scooters on rent. Police filed a case against them for many crimes. In another event, a traffic policeman was attacked in Najafgarh on Thursday. The driver of a big car hit him and tore his uniform when asked to follow a road rule. Police are trying to find this driver.
The impact of the hit was such that the barricade was badly damaged and got stuck in the front wheel of the car.
