Weather forecast for Delhi and nearby areas
The India Meteorological Department says some areas will have thundershowers. Light rain with winds up to 40 kmph may occur in Delhi. The sky will be cloudy. The highest temperature will be around 34 to 36 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature will be about 23 to 25 degrees Celsius. Light rain may also happen in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
Yamuna river situation and air quality
The Yamuna river is still above the danger level in Delhi. Some areas like Mayur Vihar look flooded. But the water level is going down slowly. On Saturday evening, it was 205.98 metres at the Old Railway Bridge. This is below the 206 metre mark when people have to leave their homes. The air quality in Delhi was good on Saturday. The Air Quality Index was 74, which is satisfactory.
