UGC to Consider New Ideas for Rules
The government lawyer said the UGC got 391 ideas to improve the rules. A team of experts is checking these ideas. The court asked the UGC to think about banning unfair practices, stopping separate hostels, and making a digital system for scholarships. It also said to set up groups to hear complaints, with half the members from SC, ST, and OBC communities.
Our proposal is that now that the matter is pending with the UGC and the expert committee, a final decision with regard to the regulations will be taken by them.
