Many young people in India are moving from villages to cities for work. This is causing problems in both rural and urban areas. A new report looks at why this is happening and what can be done about it.
Why Young People Leave Villages
Many young people leave villages because they cannot find good jobs there. Over half of migrants are between 15 and 25 years old. Men usually move for work, while women move because of marriage. Poor families and those from lower castes are more likely to move. Even people with college degrees often cannot find good jobs in villages. Problems in Cities and New Opportunities
When young people move to cities, they often get low-paying jobs without benefits. This puts pressure on cities, which are getting crowded. But some good things are happening too. During Covid-19, many people went back to villages and helped with farming. Some started businesses like dairy farming or selling local products online. The government has plans to help create more jobs in villages.
India needs to create more good jobs in villages so young people do not have to leave. Follow The Rising News for more verified updates.
