Tough Competition and Preparation
Many students study hard for JEE. Swaraj Prakhar, age 17, studied 10 hours a day at his peak. He found the Advanced exam very hard. He had to give up sports and social activities. Exam pressure caused him to make mistakes. Now he is trying again, focusing on understanding concepts better. He wants to join IIT for the smart students and good learning.
Other Options and Perspectives
Some students choose other colleges even after clearing JEE Advanced. Harshit Panda, 21, picked Delhi Technological University instead of IIT. He thinks too many people chase IIT just for the name. He suggests more online programs like IIT Madras offers. A teacher named Chaitanya Rastogi says JEE Advanced tests how students think under pressure. IITs have different quotas to give chances to various groups. The View From India Looking at World Affairs from the Indian perspective.
