Minister Calls for Urgent Action
Nadda asked states to make action plans in 20 days. He told hospitals to have enough medicines, tests, and beds. Local bodies must clean up water that mosquitoes breed in. The minister wants more awareness drives to teach people how to stay safe. He also asked for a special meeting about dengue in Delhi and nearby areas. Progress in Fighting Malaria
India has reduced malaria cases by over 78% from 2015 to 2024. Deaths from malaria also went down by 78%. Now, 160 districts have no malaria cases. The government wants to end malaria in India by 2030. It is giving out special mosquito nets and training health workers. For dengue, the government has set up 869 hospitals to test for the disease. In 2025, it gave out more than 5,520 dengue test kits to states.
We must take urgent and coordinated action against vector-borne diseases.
