Fans of the fantasy RPG series Dragon’s Dogma can now create and customize their own character for the upcoming sequel, Dragon’s Dogma 2, thanks to a new feature that is available today.

The character creator and storage feature allows players to access the game’s robust character creation system and design their own Arisen, the main protagonist of the game, as well as their pawn, a loyal companion that assists them in combat and exploration.

The character creator uses photogrammetry technology, which scans hundreds of photos of human faces to create realistic and diverse facial features. Players can choose from various options for their character’s appearance, such as gender, race, age, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, skin, body type, and more.

Players can also select their character’s vocation, which determines their combat style and abilities. There are nine vocations to choose from, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, such as Fighter, Mage, Strider, Warrior, Sorcerer, Ranger, Mystic Knight, Magick Archer, and Assassin.

Once players are satisfied with their character, they can save it to their online storage, which will allow them to transfer it to the full game when it releases on March 22, 2024. Players can also edit their character at any time before the game’s launch.

The character creator and storage feature is a free download that can be accessed from the PlayStation Store or the Xbox Store. It is compatible with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the original Dragon’s Dogma, which was released in 2012 and received critical acclaim for its open-world, action-oriented gameplay, dynamic combat system, and engaging story.

The sequel is developed by Capcom using the RE Engine, which powers other games such as Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Devil May Cry 5. The game promises to deliver a vast and immersive high-fantasy world, filled with diverse environments, creatures, quests, and secrets.

The game also features a revamped pawn system, which allows players to recruit, customize, and command up to three pawns, each with their own personality, skills, and equipment. Players can also share their pawns online with other players, or borrow pawns from other players to aid them in their adventure.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but is also playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One via backward compatibility. The game will launch on March 22, 2024, and is available for pre-order now.
