A bomb threat email targeting Delhi Secretariat and Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) was received on Tuesday morning, prompting immediate checks at the chief minister’s office and other locations, officials said. Email meant for Tamil Nadu
Later, police found out the email was not for Delhi. It was for Tamil Nadu. The email talked about bombs at Tamil Nadu Secretariat and a medical college in Chennai. It also named some leaders and reporters. Tamil Nadu police think it is a fake threat. Another fake bomb threat was sent to GTB Hospital in Delhi. Police checked the building and found nothing.
Preliminary assessment of the threat email shows similarity with previous such hoax emails, with indications that the message may have been intended for a location in another state.
