CBSE Announces Tentative 2026 Board Exam Dates for Class 10 and 12

CBSE has released provisional date sheets for Board Exams. Class 10 exams will run from February 17 to March 19, while Class 12 exams are set for February 17 to April 9,. About 45 lakh students from India and 26 other countries are expected to take the exams.

CBSE has released provisional date sheets for 2026 Board Exams. Class 10 exams will run from February 17 to March 19, while Class 12 exams are set for February 17 to April 9, 2026. About 45 lakh students from India and 26 other countries are expected to take the exams.

Exam Schedule Details

Class 10 exams start with Mathematics on February 17 and end with a language paper on March 19. Class 12 exams begin on February 17 with subjects like Biotechnology and end on April 9 with papers including Sanskrit Core. The board will issue final date sheets after schools submit their list of candidates. CBSE is releasing the schedule early to help students and schools plan better.

Evaluation Process and Benefits

Answer script evaluation will likely start 10 days after each exam and finish within 12 days. For example, if the Class 12 Physics exam is on February 20, 2026, evaluation may start on March 3 and end by March 15. Early schedule release helps students make study plans. It also allows schools to plan activities and teachers to arrange their schedules, including vacations.
