Debate over Phansi Ghar's history
The Phansi Ghar was thought to be a place where freedom fighters were hanged. But the BJP says it was just an old lift shaft for food. This led to a big debate in the Assembly. The Speaker said papers from many places show there were never any gallows there. He said it was only a tiffin room and AAP leaders changed the facts.
Assembly asks for responses
The Assembly sent a letter on September 9 asking for comments. It went to Kejriwal, Sisodia, former Speaker Ram Niwas Goel, and former deputy speaker Rakhi Birla. They were all at the opening of Phansi Ghar in 2022. The letter asks them to reply by September 19 about whether the Phansi Ghar was real. The site is now called Tiffin Ghar after the Assembly renamed it on August 8.
