Traffic problems and pending tasks

Delhi Police found 233 places in the city that cause traffic jams. Most problems have been fixed. But some tasks for MCD and DTC are still not done. These tasks are about making roads better and keeping people safe when walking. PWD has to check again if the foot bridge can be built at Mahipalpur. They will do this with traffic police.

Other road issues being fixed

PWD has filled nearly 500 potholes. They will mark zebra crossings where there are cameras to catch people breaking red lights. Some new places with water on roads were found. PWD will fix these too. They are also working on putting up road signs. All departments have to give reports on what they have done. The traffic police will keep checking if work is being done on time. A proposed foot overbridge at Mahipalpur, one of Delhi’s most notorious choke points near the airport corridor, is unlikely to come up anytime soon, with civic agencies saying it “does not appear feasible” for now.
