The Japanese Government wants more Indian students to study in Japan. As of May 2024, only about 1,600 Indian students were in Japan, which is much less than other countries.

Japan Offers Scholarships and English Programs

Japan gives money to help foreign students, including Indians, pay for living costs. This is called the MEXT scholarship. In the past few years, Japanese schools have started teaching some classes in English. This makes it easier for Indian students who do not know Japanese.
