A new report shows Indian workers care more about good tech and spaces than noise at work. The Unispace Global Workplace Insights 2025-26 report found that 98% of Indian workers think offices will still be needed by 2030.

Indian workers want better tech and spaces

The report says Indian workers want good tech, helpful spaces, and quiet areas to work. This is different from other countries where noise is the biggest problem. Indian workers spend about 52% of their work week in the office. This is less than workers in other countries. They like to work in meeting rooms and social areas instead of at desks.

Why people go to the office

Indian workers go to the office for three main reasons. They want to use good tools and tech. They want to learn from others and get help. They also want to meet and talk with coworkers. In other countries, working together is the main reason people go to the office. The report says people are going to the office less now than before. They think this will keep going down in the future. The View From India Looking at World Affairs from the Indian perspective.
