India Launches 100 Crore Fund for Green Hydrogen Startups

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi started a big meeting about green hydrogen in New Delhi today. He also gave 100 crore rupees to help new companies make clean hydrogen. This money will give up to 5 crore rupees for each new idea to make, store, move, and use hydrogen in better ways.

Big Plans for Clean Energy in India

The government wants India to make a lot of green hydrogen by 2030. They hope to make 5 million tonnes every year. This will need 125 GW of new clean energy. It will cost 8 lakh crore rupees but create 6 lakh new jobs. The plan will also cut pollution by 50 million tonnes each year. Many big companies and small ones are already working on hydrogen projects in India.

New Ideas and Help for Clean Hydrogen

At the meeting, 25 new companies showed their ideas for hydrogen. These include new ways to make hydrogen and use computers to make it better. The government is also helping in other ways. They have made rules easier and are training people to work with hydrogen. They are making special areas at three big ports to help send hydrogen to other countries. The government has already given money to 23 projects to study hydrogen.
