IIT Madras is starting free AI courses for school teachers from KG to Class 12. The courses will be online through SWAYAM Plus. They want to help teachers learn about AI.
New AI Course for Teachers
IIT Madras is adding a new course called AI for Educators. This is for teachers from KG to Class 12. There are five other AI courses too. These are about AI in subjects like Physics and Chemistry. The courses will take 25 to 45 hours to finish. Teachers can get a certificate by paying a small fee and taking a test.
Course Details and Benefits
The courses are for teachers who want to learn about AI. They will help teachers teach better and engage students. Anyone can join, not just science teachers. Prof. V. Kamakoti from IIT Madras started the new course on September 8, 2025. Prof. R. Sarathi said teachers from all over India can apply. They dont need to know coding. The courses are made by experts and will help teachers get jobs.
