Steps Taken After Recent Deaths
Five students have died at IIT Kharagpur since January. The last death was on September 20. A 27-year-old student was found dead in his room. After this, the school decided to do more to help students. They already had some counsellors. Now they have added 10 more. The school also has a mobile app called Setu to help students who feel stressed.
Overthinking seems to have afflicted a section of the young generation who become edgy and apprehensive about their examinations and career prospects.
