What is Gyan Bharatam?
Gyan Bharatam is a plan to find, save, and share India's old books and writings. It will make a list of all old writings in India. It will fix old books that are breaking. It will also put these writings on computers so everyone can read them. The project will help people study these old writings and share what they learn.
Big Meeting in Delhi
More than 1,100 people will come to the meeting in Delhi. They will talk about how to save old writings. They will also discuss how to use computers to help with this work. The Prime Minister will come to the meeting on 12 September. He will listen to what people say and then give a speech. The Home Minister will be there on the last day of the meeting. The Ministry of Culture will launch the ‘Gyan Bharatam’, a landmark national initiative dedicated to preserving, digitising, and disseminating India’s manuscript heritage. To mark this occasion, the Ministry of Culture is organising the first-ever Gyan Bharatam International Conference on ‘Reclaiming India’s Knowledge Legacy through Manuscript Heritage’ from 11th – 13th September…
