Gadkari said moving to biofuels will help reduce India's crude imports and boost farmer incomes. He noted that over 3 lakh vehicles have been scrapped under the new policy. Road Safety and Accident Victim Support

Road safety remains a top concern for the government. Gadkari called for public campaigns and NGO involvement to improve driver behavior and prevent accidents. He announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for Rah-Veers who help road accident victims. The government will also provide insurance up to Rs 1.5 lakh for accident victims.
