The Education Ministry has started a big contest for school students called Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025. Students from classes 6 to 12 in 6 lakh schools can join and make new ideas to help India grow by 2047. The contest will start on October 13.
How the contest works
Students will work in small teams during a 2-hour live event on October 13. They will think of new ideas or start making things. After that, they have the whole month to send their ideas on a special website. The best ideas will win prizes at district, state and country levels. The government will give 1 crore rupees in total as prize money.
What kind of ideas are wanted
The contest wants students to think of ideas that help India become strong on its own. They should use local knowledge and make things that last long. There are four main topics – Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local, and Samriddh Bharat. These are about making India self-reliant and rich using its own skills and products.
