Why the delay happened

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities said exam bodies are not ready to use new technology. They want to protect the interests of disabled candidates. All public exams until December 31, 2025 will follow the old rules. But candidates who want to use new tech to take exams on their own can ask for help. The new rules were made last month. They said exam bodies like UPSC and SSC must create pools of checked scribes in two years. The old system of candidates bringing their own scribes would stop.
