Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta started three new education programs for government school students. She launched these programs at the Namo Vidya Utsav event on Thursday as part of the 15-day Seva Pakhwada.
New Programs Aim to Improve Government Schools
The three new programs are called NEEEV, Science of Living, and Rashtraneeti. CM Gupta said these programs will help make government schools as good as private schools. She asked teachers to be more energetic and creative in class. Gupta said teachers in government schools are as qualified as private school teachers. She wants them to keep their spark alive and not slow down.
Focus on Student Support and Future Skills
CM Gupta said schools should not expel students in 9th and 11th classes. Instead, they should encourage and help students do better. The new Rashtraneeti program will teach students to be good citizens. NEEEV will help students learn how to start businesses. Gupta, who went to a Delhi government school herself, said it is important to improve schools. She said teachers are like heroes to students who cannot afford extra tuition.
