CBSE offers a Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child. The scheme is for Indian girls in Class 11 or 12 at CBSE schools. It gives Rs 1,000 per month for two years to eligible students.

Who can apply for the scholarship

The scholarship is for Indian girls only. They must be in Class 11 or 12 in a CBSE school. Their school fees should not be more than Rs 3,000 per month. Other scholarship options for girls

There are more scholarships for girls in India. The L'Oreal For Young Women in Science Programme is one. It is for girls who got 85% in Class 12 Science. They must be doing a science degree. The Colgate Keep India Smiling Scholarship is another. It is for dental students. They need 65% in Class 12. Both these have family income limits.
