CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams to Start from February 17

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will hold Class 10 and 12 board exams from February 17 next year. This is the first time Class 10 exams will happen twice in one school year.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will hold Class 10 and 12 board exams from February 17 next year. This is the first time Class 10 exams will happen twice in one school year.

Class 10 Exam Details

Class 10 exams will be in two parts. The first part is from February 17 to March 6, 2026. The second part is from May 15 to June 1, 2026. Students can choose to take the second exam to improve their marks. The board will keep the best score from both exams. Both exams will cover the full year's lessons.

Class 12 Exam Schedule

Class 12 board exams will run from February 17 to April 9, 2026. The board will start checking answer sheets about 10 days after each exam. They will finish checking in 12 days. For example, if the Physics exam is on February 20, checking will start on March 3 and end by March 15. About 45 lakh students from India and 26 other countries will take these exams. As a general guideline, evaluation of answer scripts will commence approximately 10 days after the conduct of each subject's examination and will be completed within 12 days.
