Team Krishna from NMAMIT won the Boeing National Aeromodelling Competition. The contest has been shaping aerospace talent in India for over 10 years, testing engineering skills and teamwork.
Team Krishna builds winning aircraft
Three students from NMAMIT formed Team Krishna. They built a fixed-wing aircraft that could carry and drop two water bottles in a small target zone. The team worked hard after classes to design and test their plane. They learned about aerodynamics and how to make the aircraft structure better. Their plane flew well and dropped its load in the right spot.
Competition offers career opportunities
The contest was not just about model planes. It taught students about working carefully and not giving up. Boeing engineers judged the contest and gave advice to students. All teams that made it to the final round can join Boeings training program for new workers. This gives students a chance to start careers in the airplane industry. The contest showed students what it is like to work in aerospace jobs. The View From India Looking at World Affairs from the Indian perspective.
