BITS Pilani Beats Other Top Institutes
BITS Pilani is now ahead of many famous Indian institutes in computer science. These include some IITs, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, and IIIT Bangalore. Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao, Group Vice-Chancellor at BITS Pilani, said this shows how good their computer science research is. He said they are always trying to make research better at BITS Pilani. How CS Rankings Work
CS Rankings looks at how much and how good the research is from computer science departments. It checks papers published in top conferences. It does not look at what people think about a college. The ranking uses things like how many papers are published and how good the conferences are. BITS Pilani has done well because of its new center for AI research called APPCAIR. This center works on new areas like Generative AI.
