The University of Western Australia will open campuses in Mumbai and Chennai. These campuses will start working from August 2026.

UWA Plans for India Expansion

UWA is the first top Australian university to open in India. It got permission from the University Grants Commission to set up many campuses. The main campus will be in Mumbai. UWA wants to work with Indian schools and companies. They want to help young Indians learn and grow. India has many young people who are good with computers and like to start new businesses.

Focus on Research and Innovation

The new campuses will be places for new ideas and research. They will have startup centers and places for students to work on projects.
