History of Delhi Firecracker Rules

Delhi first banned all firecrackers in 2017 after the Supreme Court looked into it. In 2018, the court allowed green firecrackers. But from 2020, Delhi banned all firecrackers again each winter. This was because it was hard to control and did not help air quality much. Now the government wants to try green firecrackers again. The Supreme Court will hear about this on October 8.
