The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has set the dates for Class 10 and 12 practical exams for the board exams. The exams will start from January 1, for most CBSE schools in India and abroad.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has set the dates for Class 10 and 12 practical exams for the 2026 board exams. The exams will start from January 1, 2026 for most CBSE schools in India and abroad.

Exam Schedule Details

Winter-bound schools will hold exams from November 6 to December 6, 2025. Other CBSE schools will start from January 1, 2026. The main theory exams for both Class 10 and 12 will begin on February 12, 2026. Schools must make sure only registered students take the exams. Class 10 internal assessment will happen only once. Rules for Conducting Exams

Schools should make groups of 30 students for each subject. If there are more students, schools can hold 2-3 exam sessions in a day. Students must take exams on their set dates. If they miss it, they can only retake within the given schedule. Schools should mark absent students as Absent and rescheduled ones as Rescheduled in the online system.

All students must appear for practical examination or project assessment strictly as per the scheduled dates
