PM Meets IIT Delhi Officials

Dr. Amarasuriya talked with IIT Delhi leaders during her three-day India trip. She said she wanted to make ties stronger between Sri Lankan and Indian schools. Technology Showcase and Future Plans

Startup companies at IIT Delhi showed their new ideas to the PM. She saw an AI kit for learning and a tool to check water quality. IIT Delhi wants more Sri Lankan students to study there. They asked for scholarships from Sri Lanka to help students join Master's and PhD programs. The institute also wants to work more with Sri Lankan schools on research and teaching.

My main purpose was to see how we can strengthen our collaboration. IIT Delhi has already collaborated with Sri Lankan universities. We have also set ourselves some ambitious targets in the education and IT sectors.
