The teacher, Sujit Kumar, is the head of the college disciplinary committee. He was looking into other cases of campus violence when he was attacked. Many Delhi University teachers spoke against this incident. They said it was an attack on teachers dignity.

Different Sides of the Story

Deepika Jha said she went to the college after students complained about Kumar. She claims Kumar threatened her and used bad language. Jha also said Kumar smelled of alcohol. She admitted to reacting in anger but said sorry for it. The Delhi University Teachers Association has asked the university head to look into this matter.
