IDFC FIRST Bank has started a new scholarship for engineering students in India. The scholarship is for first-year B.Tech or B.E. students in select colleges who have a family income below 6 lakh rupees per year.
Scholarship Details and Eligibility
The scholarship gives up to 1 lakh rupees per year for four years. Students must be Indian citizens studying in the first year of B.Tech or B.E. They should be in a college on the list given by IDFC FIRST Bank. Their family income should not be more than 6 lakh rupees in a year. Students who get other scholarships or fee waivers cannot apply for this one.
Other Scholarship Opportunities
Two more scholarships are also open for students. The Swami Dayanand India Scholarship is for first-year students who got 80% in Class 12 and passed JEE or NEET. Their family income should be less than 12 lakh rupees per year. The JK Tyre Shiksha Sarthi Scholarship is for girls whose fathers drive heavy vehicles. It is for students in some states doing UG or diploma courses. They need to have got 55% marks in their last exam.
