West Bengal SSC Scam: Advocate Criticizes TMC Government

Advocate claims systematic fraud in teacher selection

Bhattacharya said the 2016 SSC exam was the first attempt by the TMC government to hold a corrupt teacher selection process. He stated that the Supreme Court judgment showed the government deliberately cheated in the elections. The advocate also said teacher jobs were sold openly in the market. He accused the government of not taking steps to follow the Supreme Courts order.

SSC releases list of ineligible candidates

On August 31, the West Bengal School Service Commission released a list of 1804 ineligible candidates. This was done after the Supreme Court told them to publish the names of tainted candidates in the cash-for-jobs scam. The commission gave the roll number, serial number and name of the ineligible candidates. Many teachers who lost their jobs have been protesting against the government. The government did not take any step to implement the SC's order. Still now, the SSC has not honestly declared the list of the tainted candidates.
