Uttarakhand Governor approved the Minority Education Bill on October 7, 2025. The new law will replace old rules for madrasas and include other minority schools in the state.

Goals and rules of the new law

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said this law will make education fair and modern for all children. The law does not stop minority schools from running. But it makes sure they maintain good quality. Schools must be registered properly and have clear ownership of land and money. If schools do not follow rules or cause problems, they may lose approval.

This decision is a historic step towards making the education system in the State equitable and modern.
