The Telangana High Court has ordered the Telangana State Public Service Commission to re-evaluate answer scripts of Group-I Mains Exams held in October 2024. The court set aside the Final Marks List and General Ranking List announced by TGPSC in March, responding to petitions alleging exam irregularities.
Court Directs Manual Re-evaluation
The High Court told TGPSC to do the re-evaluation by hand, using the moderation method set by the Supreme Court. If not done properly, the court might cancel the whole Group-I Mains exam. TGPSC must finish this work in 8 months from getting the court order. The court also said TGPSC should hold the Mains exam again for those who passed the prelims if needed.
Exam Candidates Claim Unfair Marking
People who took the exam said there were many problems with how papers were checked. They said these issues made the exam unfair. The Mains exam happened from October 21 to 27, 2024. The people who complained asked for either checking all papers again or holding a new exam for everyone. They want TGPSC to make a new ranking list after this is done.
