The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has told all junior colleges to hold sports, yoga, meditation and lab sessions once a week. This order follows Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddys call to focus on students overall growth and mental health.
New Rules for Junior Colleges
Board Secretary Krishna Aditya met with private and corporate college heads. He said the two-year Intermediate course is very important for students. Colleges must add sports, yoga and lab work to their timetable. The Board will check if colleges follow the rules. Colleges must also put up cameras in labs for safety. Aditya said these activities will help students feel less stressed and do better in studies.
Last Chance for Admissions
The Board will open admissions for one day on 17 September 2025. This is for students who have not joined a college yet. Government colleges will not charge a fee. Private colleges will charge 1,000 rupees. Students can also fix mistakes in their forms by paying 250 rupees. This is the last chance to join. No more time will be given after this day. The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has asked all junior colleges in the state to hold sports, yoga, meditation and practical lab sessions at least once a week.
