SSC CGL Exam 2025 Completed, Mumbai Fire Incident Rescheduled

The SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination 2025 Tier-1 is now over. Only one shift at a Mumbai centre was not held due to a fire on Friday. About 13.5 lakh candidates took the test out of 28 lakh who applied.

Exam Details and New Features

The exam took place in 255 centres across 126 cities. It was held over 15 days in 45 shifts. For the first time, some candidates took the test on laptops. This new way of testing will allow more centres and more candidates in the future. The exam was also held in Lakshadweep and Leh for the first time. Most candidates got to take the test in a city they chose.

Challenges and Next Steps

Some people tried to cheat in the exam. They used fake documents or tried to access the test from far away. The SSC is looking into these cases. Cheaters will not get another chance. But if it is not clear, those candidates will take the test again on October 14, 2025. The candidates affected by the Mumbai fire will also take the test on this day. The SSC got feedback from 18,920 candidates. They will use this to make future exams better.

Question-quality concerns have been reviewed and corrective measures instituted.
