Protest March and Demands

The protesters walked from Karunamoyee Metro station to Bikash Bhavan. They want to remove the rule giving 10 extra marks to some teachers. These teachers lost jobs after a court order but are taking new exams. The protesters say this rule is not fair for new candidates. Job Loss and Difficulties

The Supreme Court had earlier ordered the removal of 25,753 teaching and non-teaching staff. The court said the 2016 hiring process was not proper. Non-teaching staff who lost jobs said they have no salary for six months. This has caused them many problems. The protesters want to meet the education minister to share their concerns about the new hiring notice.
