PM Talks with France and Germany on Russia, NATO, and Middle East

The Prime Minister spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz today. They talked about Russia breaking into NATO airspace, helping Poland, and the situation in the Middle East.

Leaders Discuss Russian Aggression

The Prime Minister, French President, and German Chancellor all said Russia did a very bad thing by flying into NATO and Poland's airspace. They said Russia is attacking more and more. Russia hit important buildings in Kyiv. The Prime Minister said the UK can send more help to Poland if NATO wants. The leaders also talked about how to protect NATO from different kinds of attacks from Russia.

Talks About Middle East Situation

The Prime Minister told the other leaders about his recent talks on the Middle East. He said there needs to be a stop to the fighting right away. He wants all hostages to be let go. He also wants more help to be sent to people who need it. The Prime Minister thinks countries should start talking to each other again to solve problems. He said he does not like what Israel did in Doha.

It was clear that Russia was continuing to ramp up its aggression, systematically stepping up its attacks through a campaign of increasingly belligerent actions, including through strikes on the Council of Ministers and diplomatic missions in Kyiv, the Prime Minister said.
