PM Modi Visits Uttarakhand, Announces Rs 1200 Crore Aid for Floods

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Dehradun on 11th September 2025 to check the flood damage in Uttarakhand. He announced Rs 1200 crore aid for the state after meeting with officials and affected families.

PM Reviews Damage and Relief Efforts

Modi looked at the problems caused by heavy rains, floods and landslides in Uttarakhand. He met with state officials to see what help was being given. The PM said the government will help rebuild homes, fix roads, and rebuild schools. He also said they will give aid through the PM National Relief Fund. Modi met families who lost their homes and loved ones. He told them the central government will work with the state to give all possible help.

Financial Aid and Support for Affected People

The PM announced Rs 2 lakh for families of those who died and Rs 50,000 for seriously injured people. Children who lost their parents will get help from the PM CARES for Children scheme. Modi said the government will give more help after checking the full damage. He praised the work of rescue teams like NDRF, SDRF and the army. The PM said they will keep working to solve all problems faced by the people of Uttarakhand.

The Union Government will work closely with the State Governments at this difficult time and extend all possible assistance.
