The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2026 is expected to be held in May 2026. This big medical entrance exam is for students who want to study MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses in India.

Important Dates and Eligibility

The exact date for NEET 2026 is not out yet. It might be on the first Sunday of May 2026. Students must check the NTA website for updates. To take the exam, students must finish or be in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. They should be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2026. There is no limit on how many times a student can take NEET.

Syllabus, Exam Pattern and Cut Off

NEET 2026 syllabus is based on NCERT Class 11 and 12 books for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The exam will have 200 questions. Students need to answer 180 questions in 3 hours. The expected cut off for general category is 130 marks. For OBC, SC, and ST, it may be 105 marks. These are just to qualify. Marks needed for top colleges are much higher, often above 600.
