The Ministry of Labour and Employment signed a deal with Zomato in New Delhi. This deal will help more people find jobs through the National Career Service platform.
Details of the Agreement
The agreement was signed by important people from the government and Zomato. Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said this deal will help young people and women find good jobs using technology. The National Career Service portal has helped many people find jobs since it started in 2015. It has listed more than 7.7 crore job openings. Many big companies have joined this portal to offer jobs.
Benefits and Future Plans
Zomato will list about 2.5 lakh job opportunities every year on the portal. These jobs will be for delivery partners and gig workers. In the past year, the Ministry has made deals with 14 big companies. These companies include Amazon, Swiggy, Rapido, and others. Together, they have offered more than five lakh job opportunities. The government wants to make sure all workers get social security benefits.
