Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has given robotics kits to schools in Lakshadweep. The kits are for 10th grade students who follow Kerala curriculum. This happened on September 18, 2025.

Details of the Robotics Program

KITE gave 100 robotics kits to schools on nine islands of Lakshadweep. One kit is for three students. The kits will help students learn about robotics in a hands-on way. KITE also started a five-day training for teachers. The training is for high school ICT teachers and DIET faculty from Lakshadweep. It is happening at KITE's center in Ernakulam. Kerala's Education Minister V Sivankutty opened the training online.

Goals and Future Plans

The robotics kits will help students learn about the World of Robots chapter in their new Class 10 ICT book. Students will build circuits, use sensors, and control devices with computer programs. This will teach them about robotics. KITE plans to train primary and upper primary teachers in Lakshadweep next. KITE has already given 29,000 robotics kits to schools in Kerala.
