Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta started the Viksit Delhi Chief Minister Internship Programme on Monday. She gave offer letters to students picked from colleges in Delhi for a 3-month internship with the government.
Program Details and Selection Process
The program will let 84 students work on projects with Delhi government departments. They were picked from 9,000 applicants through a fair process. Each intern will get 20,000 rupees per month. The internship aims to teach youth about governance challenges. It will help them think of solutions. CM Gupta said this is the first time such a program is open to non-political talent in Delhi.
