A new survey by MBAUniverse.com shows that only 51 percent of faculty members in Indian B-Schools are confident about AI's positive impact on students. The survey of 235 faculty members from top B-schools reveals that just 7 percent are expert AI users.

AI Use in B-Schools Growing Despite Low Confidence

The survey shows that B-Schools are using AI more in teaching, research, and making courses. Over half of the teachers think AI will be used more in the next year. Most teachers, 55 percent, are medium-level AI users. Only 7 percent say they are experts. This means schools need to train teachers more on AI. Teachers use AI most for research and teaching. They are starting to use it for making courses too. But they use it less for office work and checking student work.

ChatGPT Most Popular, Challenges in AI Use

ChatGPT is the AI tool teachers like most for teaching. Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity come next. Google Gemini and Claude are less popular. Meta AI is used least. Some teachers worry about using AI for research. They think it might not be honest or correct. They also say there are no clear rules for using AI. About 21 percent of teachers say it's too early to know if AI helps students learn. 18 percent think AI is not good for students. 10 percent say AI doesn't change much.
