The Sikkim government announced a raise in dearness allowance for its employees and pensioners. The hike, effective from January 1, 2025, will benefit workers in both pre-revised and revised basic pay structures.

Details of the DA Hike

Employees with pre-revised basic pay will get 6 percent more DA. This will make their total DA 252 percent. Workers with revised basic pay will get 2 percent more DA. Their total DA will be 55 percent. The same hike applies to pensioners dearness relief. Contract workers and those in work-charged jobs with regular pay scales will also get this benefit.

The hike will help all Sikkim government employees and pensioners. It includes regular staff, contract workers, and those in work-charged jobs. The Finance Department shared this news in a notice.
